Mindful Movement & Eco-Psychology
Sandy Ogier, Holistic Psychologist at Psych-ed, brings therapy outside four walls. As a nature lover and global pilgrim (2 Caminos), Sandy regularly immerses herself in multi-day trails to practice lived mindfulness, resilience, and somatic grounding.
By combining her clinical experience in ACT and Polyvagal theory with her deep interest in nature experiences, Sandy offers a unique clinical perspective for
- walking /mindfulness retreats (trauma focus),
- holistic Body-Mind-Spirit online courses,
- or somatic immersion workshops.
She welcomes opportunities to partner with wellness facilitators, retreat leaders, and organisations looking to integrate evidence-based psychology into outdoor settings.

Stepping in the Right Direction
Put in practice the skills of being present and raising to challenges with a flexible mind, discovering exotic locations with the support of a well-travelled and nature-focus Psychologist.
Trauma can be explored in a stimulating but safe and supportive environment (suited to ex-service personnel). This a journey of healing and self-discovery.
A 2-week Walking Retreat for Trauma (ie. in Southern France or Japan) would offer several overall benefits, including:
- Increased emotional resilience and a whole set of practical coping skills. (incl. mindfulness)
- Better understanding of trauma, depression, anxiety and stress management strategies (ie. less reactive).
- Enhanced self-awareness and personal growth.
- A sense of community and belonging.
- A deeper connection with nature and one’s inner self and purpose
- An increased confidence in their body, and in their capacities to embrace challenges.
